General achievements:
Dr.Sachin Borkar is working as a faculty of Neurosurgery, AIIMS New delhi and associated JPN Apex Trauma center since 2012. Currently he is Additional Professor of Neurosurgery. During his glorious academic career, he has received various awards including Gold medals in MBBS, DNB(Neurosurgery) as well as Best M.Ch.resident award. He is also a recipient of Neurosurgery NEXTGEN award in 2016 , H.Alan Crockard International Award by AANS/CNS spine section as well awards for papers presented in various national and international conferences. He has around 150 publications in various national and international journals including 23 chapters in books. He also has served as editor for two books , one of them on a niche pediatric neurosurgery topic.
Contribution to Pediatric Neurosurgery and INDSPN :
As a faculty at one of the premier institutes of the country, Dr.Sachin Borkar has been actively involved in pediatric neurosurgical care as well as teaching and training. As a core team member, he was involved in conducting various academic events and conferences under the aegis of INDSPN, held at AIIMS,New delhi. He has keen academic interest and has edited a book on Split Cord Malformation(Thieme, 2021). He also has many publications on various pediatric neurosurgery topics like SCM, hydrocephalus, pediatric spine etc.
